Setting Up Security Profiles/Permission Levels

You can now create security profiles and assign them to your team, allowing you to have greater control over what your employees can or cannot do within S.I Cloud.

PLEASE NOTE – We recommend that you do not edit the existing profiles. If you wish to customise a profile, we would recommend that you create a brand new profile instead or ‘Clone’ an existing profile.

To create a security profile/permission levels…

  • Click Settings
  • Click Permission Levels
  • You will now find the basic profiles available. Click any of these existing profiles (Owner is fully locked for security reasons) or click ‘Add’ to create a brand new, custom profile.
  • Here, you can see the default settings for the selected profile. These can be edited by clicking by clicking the arrows next to any of the headers, you will see sub sections and tick boxes. If an item is ticked, you’re saying that the profile can do this function. If unticked, then this profile cannot.
  • If the security profile you are editing can do all functions within a category, you can simple click the tick next to the category header.
  • If you click ‘Actions’, you have the ability to Clone the profile you are in. You can also Reset it back to the default settings if you make any mistakes.
  • When you are finished, click ‘Save’ at the top of the page.

How to apply security profiles to employees…

  • Click Settings.
  • Click Employees.
  • Select the employee and click ‘Edit’.
  • Go to the ‘Security/Permission Level’ drop down and select the profile from the drop down for that employee.
