Using a Star TSP100 Printer
PLEASE NOTE: YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE STAR TSP 100 DRIVER BEFORE CONNECTING THE RECEIPT PRINTER TO YOUR COMPUTER. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THIS DRIVER BY CLICKING HERE.
STEP ONE – CONFIGURING THE PRINTER IN WINDOWS
- Once you have installed the Star TSP driver, connect the power for the printer to the mains and then plug the USB cable from the receipt printer into a USB on the computer (on a tower P.C, connect to the USB’s on the rear of the machine, not the front facing ones)
- Your cash drawer connects to the RJ11 input on the back of the receipt printer. DO NOT try and plug your receipt printer into the P.C.
- You will see windows installing the drivers it needs in order to work. You should see a symbol in the task bar at the bottom of windows. Wait for this to fully install.

- You will now need to access your Control Panel and select Devices & Printers.
- You should now see the printer listed under the printers section. If it has a green tick by it (but you have an A4 printer that you use, then right click on the A4 printer and select ‘Set as default printer‘.

- Right click on the Star TSP100 printer and you will see a few options. Select Printing Preferences.

- When the Printing Preferences box opens, select Advanced…

- Next to Paper Size there is a drop down menu. Select 72mm x Receipt from this list and then press OK. Then click Apply.

- Right click the TSP 100 printer again and this time select Printer Properties.

- Click the tab marked Device Settings.

- Under FRICTION, select 72mm x Receipt
- Under Peripheral Unit Type select Cash Drawer
- Under Peripheral Unit 1 select Document Top

STEP TWO – CONFIGURING IN PRINT OPTION IN BROWSER
As S.I Cloud is a cloud based package, print options are handled by your web browser. We universally recommend Google Chrome as the browser of choice for our software
- Process your sale as normal and when prompted select ‘Print Receipt’.

- Press the Printer icon in the top right hand corner.

- Make sure that Destination is set to your Star TSP100 Printer.
- Open the ‘More Settings’ tab and make sure that Paper Size is set to ’72mm x 200mm’ & Scale. (YOU SHOULD ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE AS IT WILL REMEMBER THESE SETTINGS)

- Click ‘Print’ and the receipt will print as normal (and your cash drawer should fire if you have one)
